Does this really only do Bitcoin?
Yes. This edition derives secp256k1 only — no Ethereum, no Solana, no anything else. It has its own boot image and its own ceremony. If you want one seed covering Bitcoin, EVM chains and Solana, that is KŌINIkeystick at keystick.koini.io.
Why does it cost more than a USB stick?
Because you are not buying the USB stick. You are buying an image that was built to a specific standard, independently reviewed before sale, flashed and hash-verified by us, and sealed. The stick is the cheapest part.
Can I use it more than once?
As many times as you like. It is software, not a consumable. Every ceremony draws fresh entropy and the keys are independent. Nothing is ever stored on the stick.
What if I lose my seed phrase?
Your Bitcoin is gone and we cannot help you. There is no recovery service, no backup, no override. That is not a policy we could change — we never had a copy. Write the words down carefully, verify them before you fund the address, and keep more than one copy in more than one place.
Does the seed work in other wallets?
It is standard BIP-39 with standard BIP-32 derivation paths, so it restores in Sparrow, Electrum, Trezor Suite, Ledger Live, BlueWallet and anything else that implements the standards. We test this before release. A key you could only recover with our software would be a trap, not a product.
My Mac is Apple Silicon. Which one do I buy?
The 'for Mac' edition. Apple Silicon machines cannot boot from a USB stick at all, so that edition runs the ceremony in a sealed sandbox inside macOS instead. Be aware it is a weaker guarantee — macOS keeps running underneath, so destruction there is a property of our software rather than of the hardware. If you have access to any PC or Intel Mac, boot the standard edition on that instead.
Do I need the dice?
No, and yes. The tool works without them. But in the only case on record where a defence against this bug class actually held — Coldcard, July 2026 — dice were the defence. They cost nothing and take two minutes.
What is the STEALTH edition?
Identical inside. The shell carries no label and nothing that identifies what it is. Some people would rather the object in their drawer did not announce itself.
Is my purchase private?
Your order goes through Stripe, so Stripe and we have your shipping address and email. That is unavoidable for a physical product. What we never have, under any circumstances, is anything to do with your keys — those are generated on a machine with no network, after the package reaches you.
Do you run analytics on this site?
No. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no session recording. The one third party this page currently touches is Google Fonts, which is disclosed on the legal page and is being removed by self-hosting the font files before launch.
Why should I trust a company that runs an exchange?
You should not trust us — you should check us. That is what the published hash, the seal and the independent review are for. The exchange affiliation is also precisely why this product cannot ever hold your key: a licensed entity possessing customer key material is not a grey area, so 'we could help you recover it' is structurally off the table here in a way it is not for a random hardware vendor.
